Re: [Mahagunpuram] Tikona Broadband Review

Is there any discount if we pay for half yearly or annually charges? Discount on like Installation charges waive off or any other discount.

To the person who initiated this thread -

When I was about to move to Mahagun Puram last year, I followed the same method, as you are doing. I was using Airtel broadband for over 7 years and wanted to transfer the same, but learned, there is no Airtel service over here. I was skeptical to go for BSNL and worried about service. But now, I am using BSNL Broadband for last 10 months and will try to answer all your concerns over here.

-> My connection was activated within 4 days (Filled up the form on Tuesday, wiring and connection activated on Saturday).
-> In last 10 months, only one 24 hours outage.
-> There were few minor issues (Locally, as well as from back end), however, they were sorted out the same day.
-> I am highly surprised with their service. SDO, field engineers are helpful and co-operative.
-> I even got service after their business hours (Once, one of the senior technician came around 6:30pm and fixed the problem).
-> I have a 4 MBPS connection, often get speed somewhere around 5-6 mbps.
-> During power cuts, services are always up, provided you have a backup at your end. (Battery provided by them doesn't work most of the time, I got my own UPS and I never faced any issues during power cuts).

If you have any further queries or concerns, let us know!

Debjit Sarkar

I am a bsnl user since an year. Till the time there is no technical issue its amazing. Else you'll ll have to wait for 3-4 days probably chasing the technicians to get the issue sorted. Issue might be faced once or twice an year. If you're ok with it nothing like BSNL.
Have opted for the best speed plan.
