[Mahagunpuram] Ban on Maggie

May 18, 2015 New Delhi: Bad news for bachelors,you might be distancing yourself from your favorite 2-minute Maggie Noodles in the near future. According to some reports, the brand was predicted to loose its license in India.


What can be made in few minutes now a days except 2 Minute Maggie ! In these busy days where time is moving very fast people are addicted in serving Maggie to their family members, relatives and friends as it can be prepared in few minutes. If you are doing so stop here it self. Maggie contains excess of Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) which is harm to the human body.


Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) – this is commonly used to enhance flavor for processed and packed food. Only a small quantity of this Monosodium Glutamate is allowed to add and it is not safe adding excess of this. If the high quantity of MSG is added, consumption of that product would result in harmful side effects. Looking why we are talking about this Monosodium Glutamate ! Lets come to the point now. When ever you feel tired, when no time to cook, your cooking option will turn for the food which can be made in few minutes.
 
 
Ban on Maggie

Some samples of Maggie were collected in some parts of Uttar Pradesh and were tested. The results of this showed that Maggie contains high level of MSG. The Lucknow Food Safety and Drug Administration written to the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) stating that Maggie contains high level of MSG which is beyond the permissible Limit and asking to cancel the license of  Maggie.

Assistant Commissioner of FSDA Vijay Bahadur Yadav told that "We have tested Maggie samples at Kolkata's referral Laboratory and found that there is excess of Monosodium Glutamate and excess of lead."The permissible limit is a mere 0.01 parts per million lead, but Maggie showed 17 parts per million of lead according to the test results. On the other side Nestle, the manufacturer has denied all the allegations saying that they don't add MSG in their Products. According to some report the brand was predicted to loose its license in India. So, a bad news to all the bachelors over their and people who wish to prepare their food in few minutes.
