Guys,
There is a good news and a bad news.
While the Ghaziabad Metro phase 1 (From Anand Bihar ISBT to Vaishali) will be operational by mid of this year, there is no plan to go for second phase of metro extension. :(
GDA has in its recent meeting has announced that it needs to arrange fund first, then only it can go for 2nd phase of Metro (From Dilshad Garden to New Bus stand). Hope UP Govt. spare some money out of wasting money on gardens with Politician and Elephant sculpture.
Still, Mahagunpuram will be around 16 KM from Vaishali metro station via NH24.

Hi,
Does any of you have idea about widening of NH24 as i heard sometime back that it would be a 6 lane highway, but nothing seems to happening on this by the Ghaziabad Authority.

where is this new bus stand located, which is being proposed for metro station?
Are there any chances of metro coming up to new bus stand in future any time?

GDA website shows future expansion plan for the metro. hope by sept.2011 the plans will materialise.
