Respected Sir,
REQUEST FOR DTC/UPSRTC BUS ROUTE FROM SHIVAJI STADIUM, CONNAUGHT PLACE, DELHI/NEW DELHI RAILWAY STATION TO MEHRAULI RAILWAY STATION, NH-24, GHAZIABAD (UTTAR PRADESH) AND BACK.
1. Kindly refer to my e-mail requests dated 18th August, 2013; 20th July, 2013; 24th June, 2013; 3rd June, 2013, 27th April, 2013; 21st April, 2013; 15th April, 2013 and 10th April, 2013 on the above subject. I am, once again, requesting for the same.
2. Also, kindly refer to THREE INTERIM E-MAIL REPLIES dated 2nd August, 2013; 14th June, 2013 and 27th April, 2013 received from Dtc Scindia House dtc_trdeptt@yahoo.in and dtc_mgris@yahoo.co.in on the above subject. The details of the THREE INTERIM REPLIES (no time frame has been given by DTC for starting the above Bus Route) are as under :-
"(a) INTERIM REPLY DATED 2ND AUGUST, 2013 : Please refer to your E-Mail dt. 20-07-2013 received through CMD regarding subject matter. The reply in this matter has already been sent to you, informing the whole facts. However, your demand has been noted and will be given due consideration after the reciprocal agreement between State Transport Authority, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi & State Transport Authority, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
(b) INTERIM REPLY DATED 14TH JUNE, 2013 : The reply in this matter has already been sent to you vide this office letter No.TR/SH/2013/(IS)/45 dt.25-04-2013 informing the whole facts. However, your demand has been noted and will be given due consideration on starting the bus service by the U.P.Govt. with the reciprocal agreement between DTC & U.P.Roadways Transport Service.
(c) INTERIM REPLY DATED 27TH APRIL, 2013 : In this connection, it is to inform you that the proposed via of the above route has not compromised between the DTC & U.P. Roadways. It is not possible to start the route as per proposed via. The commuters can avail the city services of existing routes by changing the bus to reach their destination as per convenient".
3. All the above THREE INTERIM REPLIES sent by DTC as per Para 2 above had not given any time frame for starting the above Bus Route. Kindly give any time frame for that for which we all will be highly grateful to you.
4. In the past many years, scores of major Housing Projects have been completed along NH-24 corridor starting from UP Gate, NH-24, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh to Mehrauli Railway Station, NH-24, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
5. Millions and millions of residents have also started residing in these housing projects. Some of the Areas are "Indirapuram, NH-24, Ghaziabad; Sector 62 and 63, NOIDA along NH-24; Siddhartha Vihar Yojana, NH-24, Ghaziabad; Crossing Republic, NH-24, Ghaziabad; ABES Engineering College, NH-24, Ghaziabad; Columbia Asia Hospital, NH-24, Ghaziabad; Ashiana's 'Golf Link', NH-24, Ghaziabad; Mahagun's 'Mahagun Puram, NH-24', Ghaziabad; Ansal's 'Tanushree, NH-24', Ghaziabad; ongoing Wave City, NH-24 (4500 acres project), Ghaziabad etc.
6. To overcome the transport needs of millions and millions of residents along NH-24 Corridor, you are requested to start negotiations afresh between DTC and U.P. Roadways to the proposed DTC Bus Route from Shivaji Stadium, Connaught Place, New Delhi/New Delhi Railway Station to Mehrauli Railway Station, NH-24, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh and Back along NH-24 (so that this route could also be compromised between the DTC & U.P. Roadways) which will benefit millions and millions of residents along NH-24 (DTC will also be benefited in revenue terms) for which millions and millions of residents would be highly obliged to you.
7. BUS STANDS IN FRONT and OPPOSITE SIDE OF NH-24 OF MAHAGUN PURAM, NH-24 MEHRAULI, GHAZIABAD, UTTAR PRADESH. At present, there are many Busses plying from Delhi to Hapur, Nainital, Kanpur, Lucknow, etc and Back along NH-24, Ghaziabad in front of Mahagun Puram Gate, NH-24, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Concerned authorities may please be instructed for making Bus Stands on both sides of NH-24, Ghaziabad in front of Mahagun Puram Gate, NH-24, Mehrauli, Ghaziabad for the benefit of the residents of Mahagun Puram Housing Project (Mahagun Group's Housing Project), NH-24, Ghaziabad; Tanushree Housing Project (Ansal Group's Housing Project), NH-24, Ghaziabad and Entrance Gate of Wave City (Hi-Tech City : 4500 acres project)), NH-24, Ghaziabad because all the three Housing Projects are adjacent to each other. AT LEAST FOR THE TIME BEING TILL THE REQUESTED BUS ROUTE IS STARTED, INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CONCERNED AUTHORITIES MAY PLEASE BE ISSUED TO STOP THE BUSSES WHICH ARE ALREADY PLYING FROM DELHI TO HAPUR, NAINITAL, KANPUR, LUCKNOW, ETC AND BACK ALONG NH-24 AT THE BUS STOP AT MAHAGUN PURAM GATE, NH-24, MEHRAULI, GHAZIABAD.
8. In view of the above, it is requested that instructions to the concerned may please be issued for making Bus Stands on both sides of NH-24, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh so that the Busses already plying on NH-24 from Delhi to Hapur, etc. and Back can also stop at the following places :-
(a) Mahagun Puram Gate, NH-24, Mehrauli, Ghaziabad;
(b) Columbia Asia Hospital, NH-24, Ghaziabad;
(c) Lal Kuan, NH-24, Ghaziabad;
(d) ABES Engineering College/Crossing Republic, NH-24;
(e) Vijay Nagar Bypass, NH-24, Ghaziabad;
(f) Siddhartha Vihar, NH-24, Ghaziabad;
(g) Sector 63, NOIDA Crossing, NH-24, Ghaziabad;
(h) Sector 62, NOIDA Crossing, NH-24, Ghaziabad;
(j) CISF Crossing, Indirapuram, NH-24, Ghaziabad;
(k) Sarojini Naidu Marg, NH-24, Ghaziabad;
(l) Gaur Green City, Indirapuram, NH-24, Ghaziabad; and
(m) UP Gate Police Station, NH-24, Ghaziabad.
9. There are Bus Stands already there made by the concerned authorities on the side of Delhi along the Bus Route requested from Shivaji Stadium, Connaught Place, Delhi/New Delhi Railway Station to Mehrauli Railway Station, NH-24, Ghaziabad and Back.

NEW DELHI : Highlighting the difficulty faced by people due to the absence of public transport to commute from Ghaziabad to the capital, a PIL has urged the Delhi high court to intervene.
It has sought a direction from the court to the state governments to allow public transport on National Highway 24. The plea was filed by Mohan Singh, a Vaishali resident, saying that it is the only route connecting Ghaziabad and Delhi.
A bench of Chief Justice N V Ramana and Justice Pradeep Nandrajog on Wednesday said a detailed order with direction to the government would be passed later. 'Direct the respondents (state governments) to undertake the process of reviewing the list of routes under the Reciprocal Common Transport Agreement, 2008 keeping in view the development of residential colonies in Ghaziabad,' it said".
11. In view of the above, you are, once again, requested to start negotiations afresh between DTC and U.P. Roadways for the proposed DTC Bus Route from Shivaji Stadium, Connaught Place, Delhi/New Delhi Railway Station to Mehrauli Railway Station, NH-24, Ghaziabad and Back so that this route could also be compromised between DTC & U.P. Roadways. By sanctioning this route, you will help millions and millions of residents along NH-24 Corridor for which they all would be highly obliged to you.
