NEED FURTHER HELP (INPUTS) FROM ALL RESIDENTS OF MAHAGUNPURAM, NH-24, GHAZIABAD FOR REQUESTING FURTHER TO IGL, NEW DELHI FOR RECONSIDERATION OF THEIR EARLIER NEGATIVE DECISION OF 5TH DECEMBER, 2013 REGARDING 'SANCTIONING OF DOMESTIC PNG CONNECTIONS FOR THE RESIDENTS OF MAHAGUNPURAM, NH-24, MEHRAULI, GHAZIABAD, UTTAR PRADESH'.
1. Reply dated 5th December, 2013 (in negative) received from IGL, New Delhi regarding 'Sanctioning of Domestic PNG connections for the residents of Mahagunpuram, NH-24, Mehrauli, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh is given as under (for future course of action, if any, by the residents of Mahagunpuram, NH-24, Ghaziabad) :-
"This refers to the provision of domestic PNG connections at Mahagunpuram, NH-24, Ghaziabad. In this regard we would like to draw your kind attention that the technical feasibility survey of first phase of the project had been conducted several times with the Architect (Ms. Anita Tiwari - Mahagun), AVP - Architect (Ms. Shama Gupta - Mahagun), GM (Projects - Mahagunpuram) and officials from Gyan Peeth Mathur and associates (The Architect of the project). There is no top cover available above the basement for the laying of our PNG pipeline network. IGL requires minimum depth of 600 mm for the laying of PNG pipeline network with a channel. If normal soil is available, we require depth of 1.2 m for the laying the network. Also, there are some technical constraints for GI (Vertical rising) routing. Therefore, the first phase of the project is technically not feasible for the provision of domestic PNG connections and the same has been communicated to Mahagun officials".
2. It is understood that India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003 is being supplied with Piped Natural Gas for the last many years even though that building has underground basement of three layered (three storied) underground parking). Mahagun Puram Phase I have got only one layer (one storey) underground parking. With so much advancement of technology in India, there must be some solutions to it also.
3. Comments dated 21st December, 2013 of Vikrant Sharda on Facebook Wall of Mahagunpuram Members are also mentioned below for further necessary action by all :-
"Vikrant Sharda : This negative reply should not be the end, there must be some solutions for it, let us ask IGL and Mahagun officials to meet and find a way out".
4. He is right in his opinion that there must be some solutions for it. I also think so because of so much of advancement in technology in India and abroad regarding this.
5. Our 'MAHAGUNPURAM APARTMENT OWNERS ASSOCIATION (REGD) [MP-AOA]' and all residents of Mahagunpuram Phase I and Phase II, NH-24, Ghaziabad are also requested to find such type (India Habitat Centre, Lodi Road, New Delhi) of other buildings (residential/commercial) which have Basement(s) (like Blocks in Mahagunpuram, NH-24, Ghaziabad) in Delhi/NCR and are also being supplied with domestic/commercial PNG connections by IGL, New Delhi. After that we all will again write to IGL, New Delhi for reconsideration of their earlier negative reply dated 5th December, 2013 mentioned at Para 1 above with copy to officials of Mahagun to also write to IGL, New Delhi for 'Sanctioning of Domestic PNG connections for the residents of Mahagunpuram, NH-24, Ghaziabad'.
