Re: Re: [Mahagunpuram] STUDENT TENANTS.

Dear residents of Mahagun Puram

I am in transferable Govt job. I am posted at Kolkata at present.
There is minimal scope for me to reside in Mahagunpuram before my
retirement which is still 15 yrs away. There must be number of person
like me who may not come to reside there for long time due to number
of reasons.
We all have invested our hard earned money for a flat in Mahagun
Puram. I can very well assume from the conversation going on our blog
that family tenants are not available or very less in numbers.
Otherwise there should not be vacant flats in our society especially
of those who are residing in society/nearby. In such a situation it is
very difficult to get a family tenant for a pers like me. If we ban
student tenant, which is illegal, then we will be in great loss. We
have to pay the EMI as well as maintenance charges to society.

I am ready to rent out my flat to a family on Rs 1000/- less rent than
students. Any member of society who are advocating total ban on
students would make an efforts and provide family tenant to me. More
over if student tenant are banned then society should wave off all
maintenance charges from all society members who's flats remain vacant
in want of family tenant.

It would not be a wise decision to ban all student tenants. It will
harm interest of number of pers which will result in conflict between
society members. However strict guidelines may be framed which should
be applicable to all tenants (students and family) within the legal
framework of India.

With due regards to all society members of Mahagun Puram.
